When my daughter was young, she attended a children’s story time in which the leader asked the kids to name some of the rules at their school. Most of the answers started with “Don’t” or “No”—for instance, “Don’t hit” or “No running in the halls.”
When it was my daughter’s turn, her answer was “Grace and courtesy,” one of the first lessons she learned at Chesapeake Montessori School (which has campuses in Arnold and Annapolis).
Grace and courtesy. Our world could use more of that, couldn’t it? There’s so much polarization these days, and it’s taking a toll on many people’s mental health. If you are one of those people, fill out the form or call or text 410-888-0590 to find out more about how I use evidence-based therapeutic modalities to help my clients to heal.
