I operate on a self-pay basis and do not directly accept insurance. However, I can provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients find that the specialized care they receive is worth the investment in their mental health.
Weekly sessions are recommended for most clients, but there are circumstances in which it makes sense to meet every other week. For instance, clients may change to meeting every other week as they start to wrap up their therapy.
I charge $155 for a 55-minute session and $225 for a 90-minute session.
Any cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $100 late cancellation fee.
I am licensed as a therapist in Maryland (LCPC, LCADC) and Arizona (LPC). Due to state licensing regulations, I can only provide therapy to clients who are physically located in Maryland or Arizona at the time of our sessions. This applies to both in-person and telehealth appointments. If you plan to travel outside of these states temporarily, please let me know in advance, as we may need to adjust our appointment schedule accordingly.
Yes, I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy sessions for clients in Maryland and Arizona. Online therapy is a great option for clients who prefer the convenience of meeting from home, who have transportation challenges, or who would prefer not to be in an environment with pets due to allergies or preferences.
A: While my practice is located in my home, the space is designed as a professional therapy environment, with several features to ensure your comfort and privacy:
This arrangement combines the warmth of a home environment with the professionalism and privacy you’d expect from a traditional office setting.
Our first session focuses on getting to know each other, understanding what brings you to therapy, and beginning to identify your goals. I’ll explain more about my approaches and answer any questions you have; then we’ll begin developing a collaborative plan for our work together. This is also a time for you to determine if you feel comfortable working with me.
The length of therapy varies based on your specific goals and the complexity of the issues we’re addressing. Some clients achieve their goals in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term work. We’ll regularly review your progress and adjust our approach accordingly.
Many clients come to me after trying traditional talk therapy without achieving the changes they hoped for. The approaches I use—particularly EMDR, Brainspotting, and sandtray therapy—access different parts of the brain than talk therapy alone, often leading to breakthroughs when other methods haven’t been effective.
EMDR and Brainspotting offer several advantages that clients who have previously tried talk therapy often appreciate:
Yes, my practice focuses exclusively on adult clients. This specialization allows me to develop deep expertise in the specific approaches that work best for adult healing and growth.
I focus solely on individual therapy for adults. If you’re seeking couples or family therapy, I’d be happy to provide referrals to trusted colleagues who specialize in those areas.
